2007-11-10 20:52:58 816 What a day, what a day. Poor sweet Emily had one of her internet tests at 3:00 PM, which she has a whole 10 minutes to get into or get an F. I had a free day so I rode my bike to campus and locked it up at the bookstore. Walked to the junction and found B'rad's tent that Ben, Jim, Tommy, and Matt were taking care of. Hung out with them and found out that Ben had good tickets and needed someone to go to the game with. Being a sacrificer, I said "Sure I'll go with you." As such we did not have to get in early to obtain a student section arm band to get a decent seat. So that left me with my two season tickets. I walked up to one of the black "I need ticket" dudes and said "I have two tickets, $20 a piece." Apparently that was a good lowball offer and he took it. Maybe I should have started at $40 a piece. I went in with Ben and we got to our seats. First time I have ever sat on the West side. After a bit a lady came in and told me that she had seat six. I started to move and asked Ben if we were on the right row. He asked the lady behind us what row she was on and she said 47. We were supposed to be on row 46 so we were right. Turned out that the new lady, and a couple people sitting behind her were supposed to be in section B instead of A. So this left a nice two spots to my left empty. Midway through the pregame show we spotted a late 50's Alabama couple making it down the row. Ben told me that they would be sitting next to me. I said no way, they have to be sitting in the empty seats to your right. I was wrong. She scooted right up tight to me so I moved over a bit. The game started and we sucked it up most of the first half. I did a good job of ringing my cowbell for 3rd and 4th down defensive plays, so well that my Alabama neighbor had to hold her right ear. Somewhere in the 2nd quarter, she put bits of torn up napkin in her ears to make ear plugs. Yes, I am a nice person. If I had somehow gotten tickets to sit in the middle of the Alabama section, I would not have been ringing some cowbell. As it was, she was the violator of MSU ticket holder space, so I had no qualms ringing my bell like a good MSU fan should. On a miracle play, we managed to be up by one at halftime. The halftime show was great, the good ole reliable patriotic show. It went well with the band making straighter lines that I remember when I was in it. The big snafu was with the choir's microphones that put a bit of feedback into the beginning of the show. After halftime the Bulldogs did their usual "play the whole game in the 3rd" move and put some points the board. It was amazing because the eastern upper deck stayed populated the whole time. The Dogs had a great defensive 4th quarter and managed to keep the Tide at bay. I know this game had the highest attendance ever, but it had to really really crush the "number of fans in the stadium at the end of the game" record. I think this is the first game since I have been a member of the Famous Maroon Band that I have stayed from kickoff until the band playing Battle Hymn for a victory. I think this was one of the most fun games I have ever been to. Ben kept it interesting because he is one of those "sports people" that knows everything about all of the players. After the game we headed back to the tent. At some point I made a trip over to Sesti's neighbors' tent and we made a hunt for some water for Kallie. Emily called me and I rode my bike toward Papa John's to meet me. Locked my bike up and found out that she had parked closer to campus. Met up with her and went and hung out at Brad's tent for a bit. Went to visit Sesti's neighbors' tent and they had already packed up. Now we are at home and are going to call it an early night.
2007-11-09 19:36:53 815 Poor Teresa. She was wonderful to hire me as a student worker in the fall of '04. Then she busted her ass to get me hired into a full time position in the spring of '05. Three whole years of working for the best boss I have ever had and now I have ditched her. Boo on me. Now she has to go through the rigors of the hiring process to replace both Cesar and I. I do not envy her. After I filled out my exit survey and changed my voicemail message to a generic "call the help desk" I visited my new office. I actually have an office again with real walls! First time since Katrina destroyed 46 Magruder. Downside of course is the lack of a window makes this the first work area I have had 100% devoid of natural light. Even the basement office in Lee had windows near the ceiling. I have already been supplied with some huge displays, a Sun Blade, and a sweet dual G5 tower. The desk is not the best but I will make it work. Monday is going to be an exciting day being that I will have no idea of what to do. Yay for the stress of new jobs. At least I am familiar with the territory. 23.25 years to retirement!
2007-11-09 03:06:18 814 Why can I not set my IP? Wah wah. Sesser.net is set to 70.157.26.45 but my script fails trying to set www.sesser.net
2007-11-07 17:52:53 813 The colder it gets, the stupider Starkville drivers become. The commute this morning was uneventful. Riding home for lunch behind Allen on President's Circle, a Chi Omega emblazoned sorostitute-mobile did a nice pass by inches. Being that the road name has the word circle in it, it may float over the head of our sweet innocent sorostitute that it is not the smartest thing to pass a vehicle traveling 20MPH into a blind curve with the possibility of pedestrians coming from all directions. Her speeding got her nowhere faster, just closer to killing a cyclist. She was stopped at the Stone redlight and I was able to pull up beside her and turn right on red. Thank you MSU police for all of that speed enforcement. The ride back into campus was uneventful as well. This is looking like the safe trend it to ride to campus, but never leave on a bike. Riding home tonight was fun. The traffic backup was horrible but by sidewalking it next to the library and maneuvering around Dorman's parking lot, I was able not to get stopped until the redlight at Hwy 12. Everything was fine until I got near Louisville. Had two near passes by a car and then a truck but those were not nearly as bad as this morning. After the light changed I kept within 20 feet or so of truck in front of me; at most he hit 25 and was making a nice draft for me so it was easy. I heard the guy behind me gunning his engine like he wanted to pass just as there was an oncoming car. Guy behind me was across the center line so the oncoming car had to stop to avoid being hit. In the middle of this the front truck was stopping to turn right. I think I was close to becoming the meat between a sandwich of domestic pickups. After the stop at Lindberg, he pulled a wonderful close pass. I followed him (see, aren't bikes slow?) and it turns out he lives, or knows someone at, the Lakes. If you ever see a black Ford F250 at about the fourth house on the left, it is this asshole.
2007-11-05 19:27:07 812 Watched License to Wed from the Amazon Tivo Unbox tonight because it was a mere $.99 over the weekend. It was an ok movie. The coolest part was when Ben is getting to Jamaica and is in a truck with a bunch of Jamaicans. It shows the view from the road that goes up the big hill to Shaw Gardens. Emily and I walked up that hill following the directions from our guide book and got a picture of the same exact view.
2007-11-05 16:52:20 811 Quote of the day: "We must prove that climate change is human caused. Anything else won't get funding."
2007-11-02 15:51:19 810 I killed Paris Hilton because that hoe stole my taco.
2007-10-31 23:06:23 809 Yay Halloween. Emily and I went to church for the fall festival and ran the "throw the football through a hole" booth. Was loads of fun, got plenty of stretching in chasing and picking up footballs. After that we headed to Walgreens for random stuff and then had the biggest Kroger trip ever since we moved into the house. Turns out they have frozen Kroger brand calamari and it is actually good. Yay for supper! Seven more business days and I begin my new job! Moving into another part of ITS is not that much of a move to begin with.
2007-10-20 06:34:00 808 Poor Emily. Got off from twelve hours at the ER at 11:00 last night and she just left to go back for another twelve today. Kinda scary when you think about how thinly the nurses get stretched sometimes.
2007-10-15 23:36:16 807 Adult Swim just had a Radiohead bump. Wowee. I paid $10 for the album with a nice "10 dollars in pounds" google search.
2007-10-11 22:49:48 806 These hour long hilarious Office episodes are going to fill up my poor little Tivo. Tomorrow I am heading out for my first attempt at bike touring. Going all of the way to the county lake. Steve and the boys are going to meet me and we are going to camp right close to the lake.
2007-10-08 21:21:52 805 September was a great month. Ended it by having a fall break trip with the Sesti's and the hopefully soon to be Gray's. I took off early two Friday's ago and Sesti and Kallie came and picked Emily and I up in the mighty Honda with its great new talking GPS system. We drove to H'burg and met up with Jeremy and Cristy. Made it to Dolphin Cove around 11:00. The place was great! It was huge! At 1600 square feet, it is the size of my house. I got up early Saturday morning and went on a run on the nice bike/walk path across from the beach on old HWY 90. It was one of the best runs I have ever had, so so pretty. After a while everyone else got up and we were on the beach by 10:30. Went and did some shopping at the outlet that day. That night we went to McGuire's and had a great time with too much food. Sunday was a great day on the beach too. After a while we went shopping at the outlet again. That night we went to Joe's Crab Shack. Everyone got the Crab Feast except for good ole Sesti who got a generic at best chicken and pasta. In a seafood restaurant, it has to be a sin to get the chicken. Afterward we went to the Track. Met up with Lehman and Inga to do the bumper cars and put-put until late in the night. I think Monday morning is the first Monday I have ever gotten to spend on the beach. Went back to the house and hung out until we ate dinner at La Paz which apparently is a fusion Mexican place. Our waitress could not speak English, but she had more of an eastern European accent than a Mexican one. It was really great food. On Tuesday morning we got everything packed up and got out around 9:00. Ate at Jeremy's favorite place, the Destin IHOP. Afterward we headed west for a ways until the Gray's parted and headed north. Went over to Foley and did some more outlet shopping while Sesti took care of a battery issue for his job. From there we drove back to H'burg and shopping again at the Hudson's. From there we went through Jackson to pick up the Sesti's dogs. Made it home late Tuesday night and it felt really good to be home. This past Friday night, Kevin and I decided to go on a bike touring experience ride. I loaded up my tent and tool bag on my rear rack and we went for the Montgomery to Old West Point loop. It went pretty well, the only thing that sucks about my fixed is the lack of bottle cages and stopping to get water. Later that night, after cleaning the entire house for guests, I ordered a 17t Shimano freewheel, bottle cages, new wider tires, and a handlebar bag. After the ride Jeremy called and told me that him and Cristy were coming up in the afternoon for a grilling and to stay Saturday night. Early Saturday morning I got up and picked up Kevin to go run the "Run with the Big Dawgs" four mile run. We both did pretty decent. Afterward I got cleaned up and went Krogering for groceries for the weekend. I got home and Emily started studying. Went back over to Kevin's and we headed toward campus. Then good ole Jeremy Gray called to cancel on me after I had completely cleaned out the office, put up blinds and the closet doors, bought an ass ton of food, we had set up a bed in the office, and poor Emily had scrubbed the extra bathroom completely clean. Kevin and I watched all of the first quarter of the game. It was sooo boring and freaking hot so we left. I went home and Emily was still studying. Jeremy's loss on canceling on us because then the fun began. Kevin came over, then Bryan, the Sesti's, then the cool Mossy Oak Jeremy and his wife, Nathan and Allyson, and then Ashley and finally Thomas came over. Had a wonderful time since everyone brought their own steak. I assigned Sesti to cook them all because I was taking care of the Lobster Boursin Mashed Potatoes with a Merlot Reduction, the steamed veggies (asparagus, broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, and garlic), and the bread. We barely had enough plates for everyone. Anyway yay for the first big dinner party at the house! Our biggest ever serving up ten steaks at once!
2007-09-27 08:16:45 804 Yesterday sucked. I came home for lunch, got off of my bike and leaned it against the truck. Then Mr Snickets, our rabbit, hopped over to me. This might not seem like a bad thing, but I was in the front yard and he should be locked in the back yard. He was free, somehow finding the only hole under the fence that was cut low so water could get out of the back yard. I chased him for 30 minutes. The poor thing could not understand the concept of the "open gate." He would bang his head into the fence trying to get in and then run by the open gates. I did finally get him in. I went inside and noticed that the electricity was off. A "we cut your electricity off because you are a deadbeat" notice was hanging from the front door. That hurt my feelings. A lot because I pay my bills. Since I had no access to the internets at the powerless house, I headed back to work on my bike. Checked my AmSouth statement to make sure I had really scheduled the payment; I had. Called AmSouth up and they told me that Starkville Electric had cashed the payment. So I called good ole Starkville Electric and got no answer. Called back a little later and got a lady that basically told me I was full of crap because I had no payments credited to my account. After a few minutes she transfered me to another lady who started apologizing to me as soon as I got on the line with her. Turns out my payment had cleared SED, it had just been applied to another account one digit off from mine. She told me that a tech was on his way to turn my electricity back on right then. I got home before 5:00 to make sure that it was on and found that it was. Yay for Starkville Electric! They take your money and turn your electricity off! Great service!!
2007-09-19 15:48:59 803 My DNS might be a little happier now and not changing a hundred times a day. Turns out the router had a default DSL idle timeout of a mere three minutes. Set it to the magic zero which means never so it should manage at least a couple days before it pulls a new IP.
2007-09-17 23:51:12 802 Emily made it in around 6:00 PM Thursday night. I am so happy that she had a great time with the girls on the cruise. We got up and got out of Starkville at 9:00 Friday morning. We made really good time, only stopping a few times. Got lunch at Nick's BBQ not realizing how close we were to Cory and Sarah's house. This was the first time we got to see their house completed after seeing the unfinished version back in March. It is so pretty that it makes me want to build a lake in my back yard too. Cory and I got a nice bike ride in, and then we got cleaned up and headed to dinner and a show. That night Emily and I got to stay in the luxurious north wing of the Waldroup's residence. Cory and I got up and ran his neighborhood loop. Afterward we all enjoyed a humongous breakfast. Poor Emily spent the morning studying for an online test while Cory took me to the local bike store. Looked at a lot of stuff and I purchased another rear rack for my commuter. Went back to the house and spent a while cleaning up bike chains. Emily finished her test and her and Sarah headed to TJ Maxx to celebrate. Cory and I headed watch Sean's oldest son play football in the middle school rec league. It was really entertaining watching them play even though our team got beaten severely. Cory and I headed back to the house to prepare dinner. I helped by chopping up the garlic, onion, and mushrooms while Cory did all of the technical work. Had a great meal of pasta with many sauces and a combination of shrimp and chicken. Perfect triathlon prep food. Cory and I woke up at 5:00 Sunday morning. I drank a Boost (completely gross and too sweet) and ate a banana and a power bar. Drank some Gatorade to water things down. Cory and I left the house a little before 5:30 and picked Sean up. We made it to the race site around 6:30ish. For once there were a lot of people there before us. We got checked in and got our bikes racked in about the center of the transition area. It turned out that even though we were all racing in different classifications, since we were all male and under 35, we would be in the first wave. So around 8:00 we started. The swim was nuts. I have never been kicked so much and ran into so many people. About halfway in Cory and I realized we were still together and kept together for the rest of the swim. We crossed the mat at exactly the same time so we clocked the exact same swim time. I had gone for the "shoes on the bike" method where Cory went for the "put the shoes on and run" method. I beat Cory out, but I had serious issues getting into my shoes so he passed me in the first quarter mile. What made it even more fun for me is that the sending unit of my speedometer had somehow broken off the fork and was making a nice chiming sound on my spokes. I managed to catch up with Cory around mile 4 or 5 and passed him. After the turn around I almost died on the mountain I had to climb, but I made it up passing a few more people. Made it back to transition and Cory was right behind me. I headed out with my good ole shuffling running pace. Cory caught up with me before mile one and encouraged me to run faster for a little bit. He passed me quickly. I hate running. After mile two I could not see him anymore. Course wise, the run was crazy. The first and last mile of the run shared a single lane of traffic with the bikers headed in! At some points it was severely congested. I got about a hundred yards to the finish I heard a guy coming up behind me. Cory started screaming at me to run, so I ran. Emily says I moved faster than she thought I could move. The guy behind me beat me but I was right behind him. When the results came out, he was the second place Clydesdale under 39 and I was third by less than a second. Turns out that I was 3rd out of 22. Cory ran his best 5k ever, 7:36 miles!!, and I ran my best ever in a triathlon. This was also the first time we both broke 20mph average on the bike. Well this is the end of the 2007 tri season for us. The next race we will do together will be the Saint Jude half marathon. Lots of running coming up for me. After the race I got my 3rd place medal. The the girls and I headed to downtown Little Rock to Boscos. I started on a beer sampler before Cory and Sean made it. Had the Downtown Brown after with shrimp and grits; it was awesome. Afterward we headed back to the Waldroup palace and I got the lake water showered off of me. Emily and I wished we could have stayed but we finally got on the road a little before 3:00. In Memphis we went to the Wild Oats and bought a bunch of random food stuff. Ate at the Wendy's on Popular which was scary and then headed home. Made it to our lonely house near 9:00. Half Iron Man next October! Goal time is a mere six hours! Lots of training between here and then....
2007-09-10 22:53:57 801 Wowee I miss my sweet Emily! This is the first time she has ever been away from me for three nights since we got married. Until now the record was two nights, and that was just once to Atlanta for Kallie's last hurrah as a single woman. I am pretty sure that this is the first time, or close to it, that I have gone more than 24 hours without hearing her voice, even when she lived in Birmingham the fall of '03. What makes it worse is that the last day she had off was the Friday before last. She was at work or at a certification class until she left for the cruise. So Wednesday night last week when she was taking her certification class was the last time we got to spend some time together. Because I was getting ready for the triathlon on Saturday, I was going to bed early and missed seeing her on Thursday and Friday night. Then on Saturday I got up at 4:55 AM to have time to make it to the race so I completely missed out on her getting ready to leave. So now in the spirit of Emily's TV watching, I am actually watching old Project Runways that Tivo recorded by itself, imagining her sitting next to me studying. I will definitely save this one since they are designing for Banana Republic. My original "beach-wear" wedding ensemble was going to be good ole Banana Republic. So the race results are up. I was a distant second Clydesdale, and the third was distant from me. Third, fourth, and fifth, were right on top of each other. Harry Durgin the first place Clyde is a 37 y/o from Meridan. He swam the 440 yards in a blazing 5:51, where I finished in 9:31. I did beat him in T1 by a mere 13 seconds which makes me feel wonderful! Other sad fact for me and triathlons is that this is the first time I have remembered to do everything at both transitions since Degray last year! Sorry, I missed celebrating post 800! So here is for post 801! So for a 7.6 year old blog, this has to be in the top 1% of the oldest blogs ever created still in service. Especially since so many people have started and abandoned blogs in the meantime.
2007-09-08 18:05:18 800 Yay, I just got to talk to Emily! She is on a boat somewhere in the mighty Mississippi on a cruise with some of the W girls. I have barely seen her in the past week with all of the hours she worked and now she will be really gone for a week. She will be back here Thursday night just in time for us to pack up and see the Waldroup's on Friday. The Race of Grace was today. Got up at 4:55 this morning, loaded up the truck, and went and picked up Kevin. Ate a breakfast on the way of a banana, some random fruit/nut bar from Kroger, and some Gatorade. Found the place in Philadelphia without a problem. I was #77 out of more than 100 which was a surprise because I had submitted what I thought was a really slow projected swim time of eleven minutes. The swim was to be across a huge pasture pond and the transition area was a sloped grassy area between the pond and the road. Kevin helped me get everything set up for my swim/bike transition and I put my running shoes and race number belt into a bag to be delivered to the bike/run transition. This was really a true point to point race. Everyone had to walk to the other side of the pond for the start. I felt that the swim went amazingly well for me even though I had the training strategy of not swimming a single stroke in preparation. I have not swam since the Rebel Man tri in March and have had the whole broken left wrist since. It was apparent that my left arm was weak in the swimming but I managed to side and breast stroke it across in around 9:30. The bike was a load of fun, since I started so far back in the pack I got to pass a ton of people. Only one guy managed to pass me but I got back in front of him at about mile 15 when the big series of hills started. The bike/run transition was crazy. First of all I was not sure what it would look like coming up to it so I did not get out of my shoes ahead of time. At the last minute I managed to get out of one and then clip clopped across the transition area. I got to my bag of stuff and it was knotted closed. Boo on knots when you don't expect them. I managed to get my shoes on and got on the run. Did not forget my race number like I did at Rebel Man. Did not take long for the guy who passed me on the bike to pass me on the run. All in all the run sucked for me, I did not push too hard because this was a C at best race, but man I was slow. I finished with a total time of 1:35:some seconds which was good enough to put me in 2nd as Clydesdale, otherwise known as 200+ pound men. I would have placed 3rd in my age group! I actually got a medal for placing for my first time ever! Kevin had moved the truck to the finish area and we got out of there as soon as the awards were over.
2007-09-06 22:39:23 799 Holy crap! 95 days until I am 26 and not eligible for the draft as it currently stands. The bike is ready to go pending a test spin around the block tomorrow. Got the race tires on, washed and waxed, removed the front bottle cage, and switched the bar tape from side to side so that it looks new now. Had to fix the tape from the "I just fell over and broke a pedal" wreck from riding with Kevin. I have prepared for my upcoming triathlons by not swimming a single stroke. That's right, I am going to play the "hey I am drowning" card. I will get towed to shore quickly, and then I will head to the bike as long as I can avoid the medical attention. That will give me like an 8 minute head start! "I know I am getting very excited about next weekend, because Jim's red bike looks sooooo sweet and is going to be so much faster than my Special-poop!" -- Cory Waldroup, the real quote ends at the comma
2007-09-03 15:32:49 798 Best college band halftime show ever!
2007-09-01 22:32:12 797 So for more than a month, Allard has not actually been on the internets. Tonight I got that project taken care of. Still finishing up a script to update my dynamic BellSouth IP address. Thanks for not selling me Extreme with its included static IP. I appreciate it. Really do. That $10 I am not spending will help me change the world.
2007-08-06 20:38:07 796 Emily and I have been sleeping in our bedroom since last week. Yay for progress! In the past week I have ripped up carpet, pad, baseboards, and tack strips in the bedroom known as the "gold room." Done some other important stuff too like cutting the yard, putting up smoke detectors, installing Emily's ebayed kitchen faucet, replacing the washer's hoses and valves, cleaning up the big bedroom closet, building a compost box, and watering and fertilizing the back yard. That is all I can remember. Today I worked on the big bedroom closet. First of all I went though an entire tube of tan caulk sealing up the luxurious "cedar closet." The cedar is really not that great, basically it was paneled with cedar particle board with huge cracks between the seams. I ripped some cedar board to make baseboards for it and that went well. My improvised shoe moulding turned out pretty good as well. Lucky for me, natural cedar gives nice camo to all of the joints. Tonight I did make good progress on the shelves until I ran out of screws. Turns out it is hard to level an 11' board! Lucky me since the wall was made out of the crappy cedar, I was able to screw blocks where ever I wanted to level things out. The scary thing is that my shelves may be level to gravity even though the house isn't.
2007-07-31 21:24:34 795 Sesti and Bryan are the greatest. They came over last night and helped us finish flooring the big bedroom. Emily and I have been sleeping on a bed in the office because it is nearly finished. Only needs the outlet covers to go up. Tomorrow her dad is coming over to hopefully baseboard out the big bedroom and the living room. Then we might be able to spend tomorrow night in our bedroom, even though it has an open window to the street with no blinds as of yet.
2007-07-23 20:42:39 794 I pulled up 400ish square feet of carpet tonight. Started out pulling down the crappy shelves in the master bedroom's closet because they held down the carpet. Then I rolled up the carpet into some ginormous rolls and the pad too. The worst part was pulling up the tack strips. I always use my right hand to hammer so my left ear was always turned toward the noise. Cannot hear so well right now out of it.
2007-07-09 05:44:47 793 Starkville Electric sucks on the north side of town. That is why sesser.net has been down so much recently. I fear for the life of my 250 GB Maxtor drive as it is around three years old now. My 120 WD died recently taking down my hot backup of all of my data. With all of the investments I have had to make in the house, I have not had the free capital to build my 500 GB SATA RAID array just yet. Backups are a scary subject anyway, I realized just the other day that my backup script was backing up the wrong database. That has been fixed so I do not have to worry nearly as much. Worst case, if a nuclear blast devastates Starkvegas there will be no backup of the last eight years of this wonderful website. Give Sesti and I a few more weeks (after his honeymoon) and we might actually trade DVD's of our important data to our firesafes. Yesterday I cut my own grass for the first time ever. The luscious Saint Augustine lawn is looking pretty for the most part in the front yard. The back yard needs a little loving in the real shady spots. Of course that could just be an indication of where we should put the deck and not have to worry about the grass. Oh the house. The wonderful house. As of now all of the walls that we are going to paint are painted. The big bedroom is going to need a wall repainted, because when I was pulling up the baseboards, it turned out that the idiots that put the addition on put a baseboard behind one of the door facings, so I managed to pull a section of paint off. Tomorrow Emily is going shopping for flooring. As of now we legally have to be out of the apartment by the end of July, however the girls after us want to be in a week early. Very iffy on making it out for them. Going to have to ask them for some dollars on the full month of rent I have paid. Heart 'O Dixie in two weeks!!! Have I trained? No! Have Kevin and Cory trained? A little. Are we going to be in pain? Yes. Stupid girl breaking my arm has thrown off my entire tri schedule this year. Lot of good the two half marathons did me getting ready for a half Iron Man in 2007. Maybe in 2008 with a stress on the maybe.
2007-07-04 18:20:36 792 Having a house is hard work. Painting the ceiling sucks. Stripping a stupid wallpaper border sucks almost as much. I hate sailboats and lighthouses as a result. I spent about four hours bringing that border down. What makes me officially old is shopping for a dishwasher. Emily and I decided to get a Bosch SHE56C05UC. Ordered it from ABT, the same place I got my TV from back in '05 and should be at the house within two weeks.

2007-06-20 22:59:45 790 Goooooooooo Fred Thompson!!! Do not want Giuliani the abortionist and gun controller. Do not want Romney, a flip flopper on abortion. Do not want McCain, a little too anti-gun. Fred Thompson, the presidential actor who could be a real president! Reagan 2.0!
2007-06-17 00:26:28 789 Yet another 20 year old girl in a SUV that cannot drive. Well she was allegedly drunk and texting at the time, but the most important impairment to her driving of course was her age and sex.
2007-06-15 05:23:31 788 Fast Food Nation rocks. Bruce Willis acts the great one once again. "The truth is, we all have to eat a little shit from time to time." This movie is so making me want to butcher my own cows.
2007-06-15 03:46:31 787 Emily and I will be homeowners. Monday. Biggest check I will have ever written by a bit. The trusty Camry was a mighty $3k back in good ole 2000 and that has stood as my largest check since then. Poor Emily is at the ER until 11:00 tonight. We will get up early in the morning to head to Birmingham to un shop some things her mother bought. Not sure what else we are going to do. Just noticed that there is a freaking Apple store at the Summit now. Not that I need anything but we can look. Then Sunday she gets to work again. Boo.
