2003-02-12 10:02:35 156 Can you say Lollapalooza in 2003? I sure can. Wheee, Jane's Addiction. The only bad thing is that the closest city so far is Atlanta. I feel sorta weird, just downloaded a Justin Timberlake song, Cry Me a River, off of gnutella. It is actually kinda good, and the video is really funny in a stalker exboyfriend way.
2003-02-11 08:50:14 155 Hey you! Donate to the party fund!
2003-02-11 01:06:27 154 Hillman's actually told me to post some news. He must have nothing to do at all. Richelle came over earlier and got the rest of her stuff. We talked for a while and everything seems to be peachy. She has got her a guy to date, and I have a girl to talk to on the phone (and maybe date someday :) At least things are pretty much the same; her with a younger J guy; me with an older R girl with an alternate spelling. Yah, at least I still have somebody to watch Enterprise with. So I am listening to a few new people now. Those chicks in TaTu are just fine to be 18ish Russian lesbo babes who play in the water and make out in their video for "All The Things She Said". They can kinda sing too; I found their cover of "How Soon is Now?" and it is really good. Then there is this band called Morcheeba who is great in the Portishead trip-hop tradition. But my favorite song of the moment is "Love's Theme" by Pizzicato Five, sorta a techo trip-hop blend with some vocals (but no actual words) and it has freakin trumpets so it is wonderful. Oh, and I wrote hundreds of lines of Java today. Yep loads of fun. Fuck you RegistrationSystem.class and the method you rode in on. 332 lines of code and another 75 for Scheduler.class. *This* page is a mere 375 lines now!!!
2003-02-09 16:22:09 153 Natchez was great. Got the once per three months haircut, ate at the Eola again, took everyone to Hammer's, twice, and got two grand tours of the Eola from Chris, one Friday and one Saturday. Saw both Davis's and came into a conflict with Sesti and Tony over which one is cuter.
2003-02-07 12:44:09 152 So on Slashdot there is a discussion about Valentines Day plans and this guy has the plan. My plans are centered around having a cute date to a formal event. Whee, leaving for Natchez in a few hours. Sesti and Tony are riding down with me; Chris left early this morning. Even the illustrious Davis's are coming up from that hellhole known as LSU. Just have to keep those crazy kids out of trouble.
2003-02-05 23:08:33 151 Going to Natchez this weekend, going to Mobile next weekend, having a party here the next, Mardi Gras the next, Women's SEC the next, Spring break / Men's SEC in New Orleans the next, NCAA playoffs somewhere the next, maybe more NCAA playoffs the next (hopefully), ha a free weekend, Super Bulldog Weekend, Phi Mu Alpha formal / Easter, "dead day" weekend, and the semester is over. Fairly sure I did not leave anything out. The men beat Vandy by 22 tonight. Talked to Robyn for a while afterward. Whee, I might get to see her in Mobile next weekend; if Nicole will let me of course. At least I know I will see her in two weeks. I guess it is time for some freakin Java.
2003-02-05 16:21:46 150 Got so bored I wrote a perl script that puts all of my current away messages from gaim on a page. Here is the page and here is the script. Maybe I will stall even more from studying for CS3 and add some more features... Of course first I have to go to band and a bball game.
2003-02-04 18:48:24 149 Yah, life is weird. Hmmm, I had something interesting to say earlier but now have apparently forgot it.
2003-02-03 13:09:21 148 This week sucks. Two tests. Two labs. Loads of fun. At least I am going to Natchez this weekend and have time to just do nothing. I have talked to Robyn almost every day since last weekend. Makes me a happy boy, yep, loads of fun. Anyway it looks like we are going to have a party on Feb 21. So if you want to donate, give away: Think this one is going to be called the "We Are Poor Now" party so be sure to give and give often.
2003-01-29 12:45:42 147 Yah, my standard deduction for Federal taxes is just a little more than what I made so I get all of my taxes back. Just have to wait until next week so I can file state taxes online too... Now the rest of the world is starting to fear the power of the Evil WalMart Empire.
2003-01-29 09:26:16 146 The Onion is wonderful, the Depressed Roommate story is great. Thankfully I did not turn out that way :) <rant mode> Apparently there is a phenomena, I will call it the "ex locater beacon", that gets initialized whenever someone breaks up. It is so amazing; whenever a friend, or a friend of a friend, sights your ex significant other, they make special effort to notify you of it, what they were doing, and who they were with (and if the other person is cute or not). This is crap. I do not care. Where can I un-sign up for the beacon? Will it ever go away? It has to go away somewhat soonish with her going out of state so I will not be nearly as bad off as those poor guys who have been broken up with someone for a year and are still getting location updates :) </rant mode>
2003-01-28 15:40:13 145 The quote of the week is "Sure looks real doesn't it?" from Bryan Ware as relayed to me from Lisa. School sucks. Digital test Friday, oh the horrors of hex addition.
2003-01-26 19:02:55 144 Yah. I am counting this weekend as way up there on the "Best Weekend Ever" list. I met a really great girl named Robyn, but sadly she had to go back home before the Super Bowl. Wah for me. At least it is halftime and Tampa is way ahead. So this weekend gets the number one spot, the Mardi Gras Madness ZTA party falls to a distant second, and 2002 NCAA Women's playoffs in Lubbock is now third. Gwen was on during the halftime. I love Gwen. Yep, definately the best weekend ever.
2003-01-26 11:00:57 143 So we had a little get to gether at Sesti's Friday night. Things went well, we had the guitar playing dork, Sesti met a girl, I pretended to make out with Monica, again, and I met a really nice coastie.
2003-01-24 10:40:14 142 So I was reading the Democrat's website this morning and saw that International Paper is shutting down its Natchez plant. Now one time, all together, "Natchez is fucked!!" It is terrible; I have several friends whose parents worked at IP.
2003-01-24 09:45:00 141 It is so cold. Stephanie's pipes froze last night. We actually turned the heat on for once. Yesterday it was hard to make it from Evans parking lot to Butler because the wind was so bad.
2003-01-22 12:30:08 140 Yah, 10,000 hits on Monday when I put the pics up. My classes are great. This has got to be a 4.0 semester. Made a new cd today with 18 songs: Unkle f/ Thom Yorke- Rabbit in your Headlights (Massive Attack Reverse Light Instrumental Remix) Dead Eye Dick - New Age Girl The Donnas - Take It Off Scott Weiland - But Not Tonight (Depeche Mode cover) No Doubt - Just A Girl (acoustic) Zwan - Baby Let's Rock Meat Puppets - We Don't Exist Dave Matthews Band - Grace Is Gone Scott Weiland - Barbarella Silverman - Ctrl Alt Del Goldfinger - Disorder Silverman - Whatever Turns You On Goldfinger - Superman Ash - Goldfinger Goldfinger - Vintage Queen Pulp - Like a Friend David Bowie - Nature Boy Sheryl Crow - Over You
2003-01-20 15:50:05 139 Whee. Got the pics up. Here is Page 1 and here is Page 2. Lots of ladies. Me and Stephanie Me and Heather Me and Lisa Me and Dory Me and Mary Me and Kacy (and Mary) Me and Heather again Me and Nicole Me and Nicole again Me and Monica Me in Sesti's bed ok ok, that's all. Alrighty, here's just one more. Anyway it was a great party. Of course there is always one dork that just has to play the guitar.
2003-01-20 09:45:29 138 Last night was interesting to say the least. The pics are coming. Soon.
2003-01-19 00:39:29 137 My room is so clean. Well except for the trash can but I will fix that tomorrow. The song of the day is True Love Waits by Radiohead of course.
2003-01-18 12:34:48 136 Sam Goody is dumb. I mean has everyone at least even heard of Depeche Mode? In the past few weeks I have heard at least once a reference of being gay / listening to Depeche Mode :) so it is not like it is not at least somewhat mainstream. Just as long as my mighty gtk-gnutella does not fail me now to find their Ultra album. So far all I have found is the first track, Barrel of a Gun and it seems nice. Anyway when I was at the Sam Goody, I had $10 of free money to blow, and today was a triple point day, so I blew it on Radiohead's I Might Be Wrong Live Recordings. The really sad thing is that freaking Wal-Mart has a Depeche Mode section; but alas all they only had two albums other than Ultra.
2003-01-18 02:53:23 135 Yah, went back to Rick's to see Ingram Hill. It was kinda nice. I'm such a sad boy though. Everyone is being so nice to me trying to keep me happy. I just do not want to turn into the proverbial psyco-ish exboyfriend like my illustrious roommates. I will just get over it or she'll come back. Either way everything will be ok eventually. It just sucks until this eventually happens.
2003-01-17 09:39:34 134 Saliva was great Wednesday. I am still sore. It was late yesterday before I got all of my hearing back in my left ear. Loads of fun.
2003-01-15 13:18:21 133
2003-01-14 14:48:54 132 CS3 lab was actually sorta challenging. I did not completely get my java debugged in lab :( However I have yet another login on a msstate server, this time on disney; the first lab involved making a simple webpage and mine is here. So it looks like there might be a party in Starkvegas this Sunday. Why on Sunday? Why not? We are out Monday for MLK/REL Day anyway so might as well do something constructive. I think I should stop listening to Portishead because this stuff is definately not "happy music". Covered by the blind belief That fantasies of sinful screens Bear the facts, assume the dye End the vows no need to lie, enjoy Take a ride, take a shot now It seems pretty deep, but it is still depressing. Guess I'll just listen to this happy song by Ash called Goldfinger. Ha, turns out Ash is from the UK too.
2003-01-11 12:01:36 131 Yah, survived a party in Columbus last night. Just a wee bit hung over though now. It was a great party, there were so many people. I even met a nice tall girl :)
2003-01-06 23:21:35 130 I love spam. It is sooooooo much fun. "S?x with Animals. WOW!!!, your dick my mouth, Massive Titties, Real Huge C0cks, darlene thinks mandy wants your member" I wonder how much it pays to be a porno spam subject writer.
2003-01-03 11:44:21 129 Being the supreme ass I am sometimes, I managed to lose my relationship with Richelle. At least we are still friends; she came over last night and us and the Berryhills watched Mulholland Drive again.
2002-12-25 22:59:27 128 Mulholland Drive is definately F'ed up in a nice Lost Highway sort of way. Have to watch it a few more times to figure it out.
2002-12-22 16:06:13 127 "The idiots! Human specks! What is this business of groveling before dancers, novelists, and gigantic fairy opera singers? They're nothing but court jesters, nothing but light entertainment for...the Masters of the Universe." Yep I am enjoying the Bonfire of the Vanities a little.
